Beep Beep Colby
A quiet moment... not many of these!
The famous Joey lip. I could just bite it off sometimes!
Many people have asked us over the past couple of months why we would move "way up there". These 2 boys are the reason. The main answer is that we wanted our family time back. With me working nights and Rob working days and nights, there was no family time. Now, I am home all day with the boys. Colby is teaching me playstation, we do a lot of baking, and take lots of walks. I get to watch the boys play with each other, and Joey become braver everyday walking around the furniture and the walls. Rob gets to come home everyday for lunch, and for the times we don't want to wait, we can walk over to the store to see him anytime we want. We all eat together at mealtimes as a family, around a kitchen table. Yes, it was very hard to leave our families behind for this adventure, but everyday it gets easier for everyone. Our Webcam never stops, and MSN messenger is always logged in. And yes, lets be honest. There is a HUGE financial benefit of living up North, working with this company. We have already been able to achieve financial goals that we would never have achieved in this short of time, to enable us to plan for a strong financial future. But, at the end of the day, I get to sit here in my livingroom and look out at the water. I get to walk to my bedroom and watch a breathtaking sunset every night. We live in a beautiful house, in a beautiful province, with close friends an hour away, and work acquaintances who have very quickly become friends we know we can rely on if we need anything. Life is good.
