Now that it's finally warming up here we have been able to get outside and play. Colby's quad is finally back after being at the mechanic for a few weeks getting a well deserved clean up / tune up / anti-smoker thingie so now it works well. He's becoming quite a pro on it, and I made sure to post pictures of them ALL in helmets just for you Kara. :)
We were at a Family Day activity day last week and I couldn't resist snapping this picture. This little girl is the daughter of a friend of mine and was really angry about something, as you can see. Can you believe this girl won't be 4 until April!

Your laugh, just in case you need one

BJ, Kassie and I were laughing about a joke just like this in the airport in Halifax on our way to Newfoundland when we went to bury my dad's ashes. It was a super stressful time for all of us, and for some reason this cartoon had us in tears we were laughing so hard. I found it tonight and it still makes me smile, not so much about the joke, but remembering us laughing like fools in the airport. I'm sure everyone taught we were crazy, and we are.

Where I've been

No, my dear blogger friends, I have not been ignoring you. Last Wednesday my computer commited suicide. I guess it just couldn't handle the demands we were making on it, and it jumped right off the side of the computer desk and went crashing to the floor. Was it coincidence that Joey was at the desk at that time? Probably. Was it an accident? Most definately, although I'm still not 100% sure how it happened. So we are left at the mercy of Canada Post to deliver us our new computer. Until then, I have resorted to using this laptop. I must admit, I do not like working on the laptop, and unfortunately since the laptop feels the same about me and refuses to use Photoshop properly, I cannot view or upload any of the pictures I have taken over the last week. I hope to be back on line very soon, or at least as soon as the new computer gets here!

Skidoo racing and artsy fartsy eyes

This weekend was a Winterfest here in Ile a la Crosse. It has been a weekend of hockey, curling and best of all, skidoo drag racing. Taking sports pictures is certainly not my forte, but it was certainly fun to watch. Colby went off for a walk with one of his friends so I was left with Joey in the truck. Between races I started snapping pictures of him. His eyes remind me so much of my grandfather and my Dad, that I can't help but photograph them. Here is my "artsy fartsy" take on them. Notice the blue hue??

P!nk - Glitter In The Air (Best Grammy 2010 performance) 720p HD

I just can't stop watching this. I cried when I saw it on the night of the Grammys. I have a newfound appreciation for her and her voice.

I can't believe how much they look alike

Colby and Alan, our nephew. I see a "little Colby" everytime I see pictures of Alan!
