More holiday pics

Rob driving through the outskirts of Toronto.

We stopped on the way through Ontario for a pee break in a public park. It turned out to be a great little side adventure because little did we know this creek was there. The water was beautiful and we spent about 20 minutes or so playing around. There was also a "guest book" which Colby signed, and of course I couldn't let THAT picture opportunity escape!

Yes, the current was that strong that Rob had to hold on to him!

Back into the swing of things

Me and my mommy.
Well life is back to normal as we know it here. I started back to work yesterday, and Colby starts back to school tomorrow. Joey seems to be settling in daycare, we'll see how that goes for the rest of the week. I was accepted into an online course that will allow me to complete my Early Childhood Certificate, and I'm being sponsored by the school board here in town for it. I'm super excited about it.

I was going to post stories of our vacation, but I think I'll just keep telling the stories through the pictures. Gramma taught Joey how to sing his ABC's with a barbershop style twist, and he sung it all the way home and now still sings it. He also has a new great phrase that I will have to video and post, because it's just too cute to spell out. We bought new picture frames on our way back, so thanks to my wonderful hubby we have new current family pictures hanging in the house. I framed the 3 "crazy family" pictures together, and it's one of the first things you see when you walk in the house. I also brought back our framed wedding picture and b/w collages I made of the boys when they were babies, and they are also now hanging in the livingroom. It really feels like home now.

We're home

To say we are glad to be home is an understatement. We have tons of pictures to sort through, and we brought back a fair amount of wall pictures that we need to hang. We arrived home yesterday around 2pm and have been overwhelmed with the "welcome back"we have received. I have the wonderful task of battling "Mt. Washmore" today, but let me tell you, we all had a wonderful sleep in our own beds! I have many stories to share about our vacation, from Rob and Genevieve's water fight, to jetboat riding in Reversing Falls in the Saint John River, to crazy family pictures, and a lot more. But first, coffee!

More of our vacation

This is the explanation of the top picture.
The coolest hearse ever.
These cars belong to a friend of Gramma Jeannine`s, and she was nice enough to invite us out to her house to see and play in all the cars. It was amazing and the boys loved it, as you can see!

Theodore Tugboat

Gramma and Puppa took the kiddies out on Theodore Tugboat. They loved it!

How I spent my weekend

This weekend I stood in my friend Jennifer's wedding. Her and I have been friends for over 20 years. We met years ago and became penpals, and all weekend her family would say "You're Tina Power, the penpal!" Before leaving for the wedding, I made an appointment at Colours in Halifax for an "Idiot's Guide to putting on Make up", as I don't wear the stuff. It was a beautiful weekend, and the other girls in the wedding party were fantastic. We all had such a good time, as you can see. And I'm sure Jody, Tawny, Jenn, Kara and Kendra will pick out a small detail, but I'll leave that for another post. :)

Even though I was in the wedding, I still managed to take a few pictures!

My beautiful friend Jennifer. The newly married Mr. and Mrs. Doyle.
Me being artsy fartsy. I can't wait to play with this one when I get home. (No photoshop on the laptop)

Happy Anniversary honey

I missed posting this on our actual anniversary because we have been just super crazy, but Rob and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary this past Saturday. Mom kept the boys, and we headed downtown to the halifax waterfront for dinner and then stayed the night down there to watch the fireworks. I wish I had an updated pic of us, but of course with me always being behind the camera it's a little hard to get. Happy Anniversary honey, and here's to at least 6o more.

The trip to so far

I know, I know, I've been a bad blogger. We have been constantly on the go here. We unloaded all the stuff we had in our storage unit and had a HUGE yard sale on Saturday. It's amazing how many people come out when you use the words "Moving Sale". We got rid of almost everything. My brother BJ and his wife and son came down yesterday to spend the day with us at Mom's. Rob went to Tree Go yesterday, but I'll leave that post to him. Now that the storage unit is taken care of, I feel like we can finally start vacation. we also met up with Rob's sister and her family last Friday who were camping and spent the afternoon with them swimming. Joey is becoming quite the dare devil with jumping into the pool and Colby I'm sure is now half fish. Those pictures will follow shortly. I head to Digby this Thursday for Jenn's wedding, and hopefully tomorrow I will get to meet up with Jackie a fellow blogger who will be in town! Busy busy busy!
