Well, it's Monday, February 23. I am back to work tonight (3:30-12:00) I will be getting my pictures back on Wednesday of this week of the blizzard. I can't wait to see them. I finished working on a crochet baby sweater yesterday, with the help of Jean to put the zipper in. It is a great sense of accomplishment to know that I made this. It's pale yellow and zips up the back all the way up the hood. I originally made it because the pattern did not have a picture and I wanted to know what it looked like. I only crochet at work to give me something to do. That is one of the advantages of working in a call centre. We are going to send it to Carolyn and Steven, cousins of Rob's in Ontario. I'm taking it to work tonight to show off and then hopefully sending it by the end of the week. Colby is now carrying around his Mr. Murphy. He loves a show that comes on CBC in the morning called Poko. This is a show that is produced by Salter Street Productions, which is based in Halifax. Rob has a curious George that his mother made him, that is now Mr. Murphy, which is Poko's stuffed monkey. He won't go to bed without it. He also has a red Austin Mini dinky that is his "flying car" from Harry Potter. He is now quoting lines from the movie on a regular basis. I was cleaning the door of the playroom with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (yes, they work, but kinda took the paint off the door, when you rub GENTLY as the package instructs, the paint is not removed, I am going to have to keep a stock of them in the house at all times), anyways... Colby was in the playroom with a crayon, writing on the wall (which he is allowed, the room is unfinished so he can) and he was slowly saying, Do You Know Anything About The Chamber Of Secrets", (in the movie, Harry is writing in a diary to Tom Riddle and says the same thing). My kid is just to damn smart. He also has a tendency when something frusterates him to say "For fuck sake" (thanks to his dad slipping it ONCE over a month ago). Still trying to break that one. I also think we may be on the verge of potty training. He told me again at Jean's last night that he wanted to go pee. But by the time we went to the bathroom he had already peed in his pull up. I was hoping that this toilet training thing would be done in a day but I'm quickly realizing that it's not. Oh well, it could be worse. ¶ 6:07 AM
