The weather is starting to cool off here now at night, and this morning Colby was excited to see "snow" on the ground. It was actually frost on the grass, but according to the weather network snow is on the way for this weekend.
I am trying to organize a birthday party for Colby, but seeing as he wants everything Pokemon it is a bit challenging. Looks like we will be getting a slab cake from the Northern and decorating it ourselves. When I saw "we", I mean Rob. I have 2 small Pokemon figurines that will sit on his cake, and we will use colored icing and maybe a template for the rest. Who knows. I'm also thinking on making some candy apples for the kids I know on Halloween. We have Joey's costume all figured out, thanks to hand me downs from Colby. Of course, Colby wants to be a Pokemon for Halloween, which is next to impossible to find. Well, unless I want to pay 200.00 on Ebay. YES, 200.00 for a hand made costume. I'm going to try to convince him to be a hunter. Lord knows we have more than enough gear in this house to make a costume.
I have been trying unsuccessfully to get a job here in town, and I am almost ready to give up. The problem is that I need to find a job full time to justify paying for childcare for Joey. When I stopped working I thought that I would always enjoy staying home, which for the most part I do. But it's that independant part of me that would like to be financially contributing also.
I felt like I was long overdue for a post that didn't include pictures. Life is good, kids are great and growing like weeds, weather is getting colder and I'm almost done my christmas shopping for the kids. :)
