Aunt Kelly would be so proud

I had to scan this. This is the homework that Colby has been bringing home. They get a homework "package" at the beginning of the week and have to bring it back on Friday. The first package was upper and lower case letters, and this package this week was numbers and math. I don't want to be one of those parents who hover over their kids while doing homework, I remember all to well what that feels like. He sits at the table and I putter around the kitchen, never far away but far enough away that he doesn't feel pressured. I left him for a few minutes last night to change the baby and when I came back he had this page done, WITH NO HELP AT ALL. I think he's going to be a math whiz! Aunt Kelly the math teacher is probably beaming right now!

we are so so proud of you. Your greatfather could add them up too. No one could fool him up. Love Aunt Rosemary

P.S. Are you sorry your father showed me how to do this?

Am I sorry dad showed you this? Hell no! Though, I am wondering what a "greatfather" is. Is that a combination of grandfather and great-grandfather? :)
