I nearly cried. They are more beautiful than I have ever seen in a picture, and when they dance it's breathtaking. These pictures were taken between 11:30 and midnight.

How wonderful! thank you for sharing this beautiful sight with us, Tina!
OMG - if nothing else makes living way up there worth it(and I know there are are positives) that sure as hell would. Amazing :)
Great pics Tina! Too cool

Yep Marylou, those were the Northern Lights. They were amazing. And yes Jody, if nothing else, those make being up here worth it. I remember Stacy used to have a poster of the Northern Lights on her wall as a kid and I always wanted to see them. Now I can say that I have. And according to a website we watch, that was a "quiet" show. I can't wait until the end of the month when it's classified as "active"!
I remeber many years ago seeing them in Winterton, but nothing what you saw.. That is just amazing. Lucky you
Mary Lou
So, so beautiful.
wow, that is beautiful!
I have seen them only once and very briefly...I live in Ohio (USA) and at first I didn't know what it was--called the kids out and we all stood here in awe :)
Spectacular.
You're seeing things that most people will never, ever see in their lifetimes :).
