Northern Lightsning

I think we are going to like it here. We get the Northern Lights during the Winter and we get awesome thunder and lightning storms during the summer. This is what you get when you fill 2 1gig compact flash cards. I took these from the front steps of the house. The storm was awesome and lasted almost 2 hours. I have never seen so much forked lightning in my life!

We also had a real thunder storm yesterday, but I couldn't get a clear view because of the bush. When living in Manitoba and Sask. the lightning scared tha pants off of me!

Jen: If Nathan were to be transferred here you would have a year round view, and all the RCMP houses here are on the water with HUGE backyards. And I hear the manager at the Northern is really hot too. :)

Great shots! Where I grew up in northern BC we had wicked lightning storms quite often. I love them!
