For all my transplanted east coast friends

This is what we made for supper on New Year's Eve. Good, ole fashioned super messy donairs. They turned out awesome, and even had 3 take out orders by the local RCMP!

haha that's awesome!

for those not in the know...
The Donair is a small woodland animal that feeds mostly n grass and nuts and is found throughout the Atlantic Region. Although elusive by nature, they can easily be captured using traps that resemble lobster traps. To prepare, simply remove their arms, legs, and tail and then drive a pole through them and let them slowly rotate in a pizza shop window. Voila!

but also...

it's basically spiced meat. Let it also be known that while they are delicious, they are deadly! I have been refraining from consuming them while in NS, and I plan to continue doing so.

Recipe, please and thank you! Friends of mine from the East used to become lyrical over donairs but I never got to taste them.

The Schwartz Take out opened again for one last delivery. The
left over donairs were delivered to the detatchment tonight. We'll never have to worry about speeding tickets! ;)

Kidding of course!
