I NEED HELP!!! not for the obvious...thanks...

Hey there everyone. I have made another boo boo...I am in the process of removing vista and installing XP on the computer. However, the recovery portion of vista is still on the hard drive and it is not allowing me to format the entire hard drive. I have a 320g drive and it is only allowing me to format 131g of it. Is there something I can do to format the entire drive? It is partitioned somewhere but I have no idea where to look. Let me know if you have any advice... Thanks! Rob

are you formating from inside window or in the command prompt window? You should use a startup disk to avoid booting any part of windows. That will get you to the c:\ prompt where you can use format c: (or something like that) to clear the whole disk - you may need to switch between partitions (d,e,f etc)
