HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLEPIECEOFTEXAS2!

Five years ago today I started this blog. I've been looking through the past years of posting, and it's amazing how much of our lives is in here. We have met some amazing people through this blog, and have made some close friends. We also have been able to keep in touch with family and friends who are back East, with both our stories and pictures. I think we're going to celebrate in true style today by making a cake, or at least some cupcakes! Of course if we do, there will be pictures!

We also want to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Colby's buddy Robert in Newfoundland. He also turns 5 today, and rumor has it that his mom is making him a PokeBall cake. We can't wait to see the pictures!

Happy Blogiversary! 5 years! and I thought I was the elder statesman of the Northern blogosphere. Quick question why "little piece of texas"?

Clare - long and short of it. I was pregnant with Colby when the Survivor - Australia was on. It was the first time I heard the name Colby (Colby Donaldson). Colby Donaldson is from Texas, so MY Colby is my little piece of texas. And I screwed up the blog the first time so hence the name little piece of texas 2. :)

Nice to see you mention Robert... Thanks you. He actually turned 7!
He had a few buddies over, to play air hookey and wii. Mario Cart was a big hit. As for the pokey ball cake.. well... to make a long story short, I should have done a practice run, like you did for Colby cake, he did not turn out, the icing was too runny time I got the right colour and I added icing sugar, but we all decided it was a good effort but we bought a cake at Save Easy....oh well I will have to try again..lol
